Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Sr. Director, responsible for, but not limited to, the management and delivery of the strategic operations of the business, supporting operational activities, and ensuring operations is as effective and efficient as possible. The role will be instrumental to designing, developing, producing, and delivering data visualization dashboards with actionable insights to Executive Leadership to enable fact-based decision making. The incumbent will also lead the charge in interpretation and analysis of the data using advanced level analytical techniques, framing the business problem, and creating visually appealing and easy-to-understand data visualizations with reporting tools that effectively communicate findings and complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support GDMS Operational Reviews by collecting, consolidating, and analyzing KPI’s for trends and patterns as well as preparing presentation materials.

  • Interprets and analyses large complex data sets using statistical techniques to provide key insights to business problems and provide recommendations on improvements.

  • Establish and manage governance of GDMS metrics and provide ongoing review and maintenance.

  • Evaluate existing reports and dashboards, identifying areas for improvement in terms of design, efficiency, and relevance.

  • Create, refine, and automate reporting tools/models/dashboards that provide analysis and insight into KPIs, thus enabling the business leadership to make timely, accurate and fact-based decisions.

  • Standardize resource management efforts, including owning headcount & attrition tracking, reporting, and analysis.

  • Support and develop resource modelling forecasting and governance across GDMS, including streamlining and improving resource planning process as well as forecasting headcount needs based on book of business demands.

  • Manage and support tracking, reporting, and analysis of key value & productivity measures across GDMS functional areas.

  • Support and/or help create business case(s) for key projects, resourcing needs, new or existing capabilities and/or technologies, using data and financial modelling & other analysis techniques to demonstrate need for and value of solution(s).

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis involving the collection, cleaning, and interpretation of complex data sets from various sources to derive insights and identify trends.

  • Work with people at all levels of the organization to develop, report, monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPI’s).

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data analytics, insights, and reporting capabilities.

  • Additional responsibilities as delegated by the Operations Head

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field

  • A minimum of five years of experiences in operations, data management, consulting, data analytics, data governance, project management, data visualization and reporting, communication, resource planning, financial analysis, or similar discipline required.

  • Advanced to Expert experience with data visualization and dashboards tools including Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Spotfire, or equivalent.

  • Proficient experience working with large and complex data sets.

  • Proficient experience with multiple programming languages, include Python, R, SQL, etc

  • Ability to produce visualizations, develop effective presentations, and tell a story with actionable recommendations that are backed with data.

  • Proven track record of analyzing quantitative & qualitative data (internal & external), extracting insights, and synthesize finding.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc)

  • Knowledgeable in AI and Machine Learning and applicability to data analytics

  • Knowledgeable in Statics and using statistical packages for analyzing data sets.

  • Ability to understand financial data, financial modelling, and develop as subject matter expert in providing additional insights and support forecasting.

  • Advanced to Expert experience working with large and complex data sets.

  • Advanced to expert experience with multiple programming languages, include Python, R, SQL, etc.

  • Ability to coordinate work with others and drive decision making.

  • Exceptional demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and negotiating skills.

  • Proficient overall working knowledge of the clinical development process.

  • Proven track record of developing and supporting business cases.

  • Ability to distil complex concepts into clear, concise presentations, facilitating informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

  • Ability to provide fact-based insights and analytics to address specific business needs.

  • Ability to know who to go to, how to approach them and get things done via non-hierarchical influence.

  • Effective knowledge in developing analysis and reporting deliverables (data, analyses, tables, graphics)

  • Ability to learn new program techniques and data structures quickly and effectively.

  • Ability to derive key business insights, formulate and define the business problem(s), and develop visual displays defining the business problem using data.

  • Ability to think critically about data and find underlying patterns for actionable insights.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:

$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
