With management direction, responsible for supporting major IT project implementation (Enablon) to ensure consistency, accuracy and thoroughness of EHS-related data collection and reporting through a role in Global Safety and the Environment with the Systems & Assurance team.
• Partners with IT and GSE Systems & Assurance team to provide tools and resources for end users.
• Example projects:
Maintain file structure and naming convention for reports
Review existing training materials to ensure consistency with IT application through configuration upgrades
Provide support to end users and develop resources for Systems & Assurance team for commonly encountered issues.
Expand existing and develop new FAQ documents.
Monitor system data, identify trends and recommend enhancement or improvements to navigation and/or data choices
Develops EHS procedures, guidelines and training programs as assigned.
Maintain effective organizational skills and implement appropriate communication and planning.
Work with minimum supervision and exercise independent judgment in the daily performance of his/her duties.
Learn/follow all Merck Safety, Health, Environmental and regulatory requirements (as required by task).
Perform necessary administrative duties to insure maintenance of records, reports, and associates tasks.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline preferred).
Minimum GPA: 3.00
Must be available for a period of 6 months.
