The GTA organisation is going through a major transformation where Employer Brand (EB) is recognized as a key deliverable of our strategic HR function. Your role would be to increase our EB footprint in social media, activate leaders in our organisation to promote our brand, ensure that our Recruiters are enabled via technology and training and ensure INVENT.IMPACT.INSPIRE. is recognized as the Merck EB globally.

This role will be accountable for development and deployment of the Employer Brand Strategy, seeking alignment across senior leaders inside the Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) organisation, and others (primarily HR, Communications, and business divisional / regional leaders). Once this sponsorship is secured, the individual will mobilise the strategy through strong project management to enroll, engage, enable a global GTA network of 150 Recruiters. You will be required to design the Employer Brand Growth strategy, align senior leaders across the divisions / global regions, and ensure execution of a sustained EB Strategy. At all times you will be prospecting, evaluating and securing funding for new technical tools to enhance and enable the EB.

The primary activities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish Invent.Impact.Inspire. (the Merck Employer Brand) as the Talent Brand of the organisation.

  • Partnership with Global, Regional, Local Communications and the Enterprise Social Media Group (ESMG) to support development of robust policies and processes that are compliant.

  • Partner with GTA Leadership Team (GTA LT) to support talent attraction and engagement efforts divisionally and globally.

  • Ensure global Tradename compliance via systems, training and processes.

  • Divisional & Regional EB strategy development, stakeholder enrollment (Divisional / Regional GTA Leads, Divisional HR Leaders, Regional HR Leaders), project management, budget management.

  • Secure Divisional, Regional, Local funding to support branding efforts.

  • Develop Microsite strategy interfacing with Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) microsites into a single connected global architecture.

  • Incorporate video content into EB strategy using divisional / regional / local funding.

  • Content Calendar Ownership across global, divisional, facilitation of regional content via an Employer Branding network within Global Talent Acquisition.

  • Consult regarding local talent requirements and strategize customised solutions to support local hiring needs. Move EB execution to local market TAAs / Comms / HR.

  • Build, train and manage Regional Content Lead (RCL) network across the GTA organisation (15-20 members globally)

  • Train & support P3 Project Managers for US Content Marketing / Global D&I CMS coordination.

  • Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships to further Global EB.

  • Manage vendor relationships with Shaker, LinkedIn to support EB objectives.

  • EB budget tracking and management (>500k USD).

  • Develop and deliver trainings / presentations to activate EB ambassadorship in GTA, HR, Business, Comms.

  • Interfaces with executive leadership to drive advocacy and ambassadorship for EB and CMS across the organization.

  • Delivers results of EB and CMS progress through analytics reporting.

  • Evaluate, implement and manage technologies to support EB and CMS:

  • LinkedIn Recruiter Licenses

  • LinkedIn JobSlots

  • LinkedIn Elevate (secure business funding for 2nd year of operations)

  • Support Recruitment Marketing tool replacement analysis and RFP process

  • Review Video Job Description technology (review Australian tool)

  • Conference attendance including LinkedIn Talent Connect (potentially present)

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing / Business / Human Resources / similar

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 7 years experience in a marketing / recruitment marketing related role.

  • English language skills must be exceptional to enable engaging copy in advertising. Additional languages would be an asset but not required.

  • Regional / global experience in a prior organisation is preferred.

  • People management or coaching experience would be an advantage.
