Our company has been advancing science for the treatment and prevention of HIV for more than 35 years. Our HIV franchise consists of 3 inline products plus an active research pipeline, and we remain committed to working hand-in-hand with our partners in the HIV community to address the complex challenges that impede progress toward ending the epidemic. People living with HIV (PLWH) face numerous challenges including, but not limited to, stigma, poverty, and unequal access to health care, which can lead to overall poor health outcomes.

We are looking for a dynamic marketer committed to improving health across vulnerable populations to develop and drive a health equity strategy for PLWH. Ideal candidates for the HIV Health Equity Marketing Strategy Role will have both marketing experience as well as a focus and passion for health equity.

This role sits within the commercial marketing team and will work across multiple stakeholders within marketing and across the organization to lead and galvanize efforts to address healthcare disparities as part of the overall brand strategy. The HIV Health Equity marketing point will lead efforts to assess the health equity landscape and identify areas where our Company can meaningfully impact.

Our U.S. marketing team has adopted an Agile operating model to be more adaptive and responsive to rapidly evolving customer needs and keep pace with the digital evolution in the marketplace. This Agile model enables marketers to enhance their experience, building skills and capabilities that flex across various commercial functions based on business needs and priorities. The successful candidate embraces a growth mindset, a willingness to tackle challenges, and a passion for learning, development, and a greater team achievement.

The specific responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and operationalize a Health Equity strategy for the HIV portfolio, setting the strategy end-to-end aligned to a marketing framework

  • Spearhead insights gathering across both quantitative data and market research to identify intervention opportunities across the care continuum

  • Closely align with HIV Community lead for pull through with Community Liaisons

  • Closely align with HCP, HCC, Access, Policy, Global Communications, etc. to achieve health equity objectives

  • Prioritize and develop execution plan for high-impact solutions to address healthcare disparities aligned with strategy

  • Establish KPIs and measurement plan to assess impact of strategy and execution plan; assess and optimize strategy and plan accordingly

  • Establish mechanism to obtain insights from Community thought leaders and execute on insights

  • Collaborate across our Company to enhance understanding of HIV in the Community

  • Stand up and lead cross-functional internal working group to align work on HIV Health Equity

This is a hybrid role based in Upper Gwynedd, PA, with an expectation of working on-site three days per week.

Position Qualifications:

  • Required: BA/BS

  • Preferred: MBA

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years healthcare industry experience, including at least 5 years in strategic marketing and brand management

  • Ability to operate in white space and clearly define and lead a vision across multiple stakeholders

  • An open and growth mindset, strong collaboration and business agility

  • Understanding of HIV ecosystem and landscape OR demonstrated knowledge geared to improving health inequities

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills as demonstrated through working knowledge in strategy & marketing business case communication

  • Synthesizing and actioning insights across both market research and secondary data

  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethics

  • Influencing without direct authority, navigating complex or matrix organizations and working successfully with cross-functional teams

Preferred Knowledge and skills:

  • Product launch or launch planning experience

  • Demonstrated ability to create solutions that drive value for our customers, incorporating innovative approaches where relevant
