Job Description

Our Enterprise IT-SAP Platform team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new capabilities and technologies. As the Clinical Supply Delivery Lead for our research organization, you will be responsible for delivering SAP solutions to our Research Organizations' Global Clinical and Ancillary Supply user community.

You will participate in interviews with our stakeholders to capture user requirements and process flows, lead and participate in design, and build solutions with business users and SAP team members to further extend capabilities and functionalities on our existing Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM) solution in order to satisfy and deliver on the strategic and tactical priorities of our Global Clinical Supply business groups.

Hands on SAP experience coupled with extensive business & technical knowledge in SAP Supply Chain Management and Distribution areas with a strong focus in Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM) is highly desired. Areas of expertise should include but not limited to- Planning, Warehousing and Distribution and cross functional knowledge of Production Execution, Quality and EHS.

This role also provides close support to the Process Stewards, Product Owners and Business and IT partners with a focus on Automation, Process Innovation, and Improvements or Optimizations of existing processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as team member in the deployment and support of SAP applications across all functional areas supporting Clinical Trials. This includes leading or contributing to the requirements analysis, use cases, functional and technical design, implementation and testing in line with the SDLC methodologies and the Global SAP template.

  • Performs feasibility analysis and assessments for new requirements, including understanding implications on the current and future architecture. This includes developing high level proposal with timelines and tasks.

  • Is responsible for drafting / reviewing high-level design and functional requirements for integrating enterprise CTSM systems with the enterprise ERP environment, external parties (Contract Manufacturing Organizations, Depots). Formulates options including assessing their relative merits and risks and works with clients / business analyst to determine the best solution.

  • Communicates and partners broadly with stakeholders at multiple levels across the enterprise and maintains awareness of projects or changes to other systems that may impact enterprise systems to ensure there is no degradation of service. Understands priorities and deadlines and anticipates change and escalates accordingly.

  • Advises clients / business analysts on technology-related business problems, leveraging IT colleagues as appropriate.

  • Acts as subject matter expert on CTSM solution, primarily responsible for gathering functional / business requirements for solution design for planning, warehouse operations, distribution, ensuring compliance with market requirements as global regulatory requirements continue to evolve.

  • Develops subject matter expertise within functional and technical teams in overall CTSM solutions and provides direction and guidance to drive ongoing configuration, enhancements, and integration effort.

  • Service Management: Manage the total scope of IT delivery (Cost, Quality and Time).

  • Smooth transition of projects into production.

  • Managing expectations of business user community in a highly FDA regulated environment.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years overall experience in Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM) and SAP ERP

  • Experience in multiple areas of SAP- Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Distribution (SD)

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to translate complex technical issue into business terms.

  • Ability to drive continuous improvement across team.

  • Ability to operate in a cross-functional / matrix environment.

  • Acts as a technology mentor to team members.

  • Ability to analyze complex business processes, develops and implements solutions, and communicates impact to stakeholders.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge focused in “SAP Clinical Trial Supply Management” (CTSM) and touch points with Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems is highly desirable.

  • Hands on with full Life Cycle Implementations with emphasis as Subject Matter Expert in SAP.

  • Deep understanding of Integration through middleware with other systems.

  • Experience with Automation and Digital initiatives.

  • Superior communication skills and the ability to interact directly with business users.

  • Ability to translate technical design to business language, which is easily understood by all levels of the organization.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computers Science, Life Sciences.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:

$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
