Associate Director, Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence

The Associate Director, Global Diversity & Inclusion (GD&I) Center of Excellence, is responsible for influencing and leading the development, execution and realization of Global Diversity & Inclusion (GD&I) strategies/action plans/outcomes in support of the Animal Health division.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing strong acumen about the Animal Health business in order influence leaders and develop and execute Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) plans that will have a strong impact on the Animal Health business. Through active engagement, consultation and collaboration with Human resources leaders and Line Leaders aligned to the Animal Health Division, this role is accountable for:

  • Building and integrating Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategies and actions into annual operating plans, practices, priorities and milestones which align to the company’s commitment to invest in the overall growth, success and well-being of our people

  • Contributing to a more diverse, equitable, inclusive and innovative business environment and culture in alignment with, and in support of, the strategic priorities of our company

  • Influencing business outcomes through the application/integration/change management related to our ways of working, our values and standards and our environment, social and governance (ESG) strategies.

  • Enabling the development and sustained improvement of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) capabilities, behavior change and mindset shifts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Client Support:

  • Primary point of contact for Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) consulting and operational support to Human Resources and business leaders across Animal Health.

  • Serve as an active and visible contributor to the Global Animal Health Human Resources leadership team; liaise with the Human Resource team, including the Talent Enablement Lead, to understand overall talent strategy and build aligned Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) plans, leveraging analytics and competitive intelligence about the Animal Health external market.

  • Lead the Animal Health Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council to advance the Animal Health Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy and tactics.

  • Serve as an active and visible contributor to the Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GD&I CoE), the Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GDE&I) Extended HR Leadership Team and will act as a Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GD&I COE) Liaison to one of the to-be-named EBRGs. This individual will also support the success of divisional/human resource Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) communities of practice efforts.

  • Consult in supporting the successful development and measurement of divisional client Compliance and Affirmative Action obligations, commitments and actions to achieve/make progress against them.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business related discipline, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, or related discipline (with Masters’ degree, minimum experience is 8 years). Minimum of 4 years of experience in global diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and major projects, inclusive of the following examples: employee business resource group leadership, external partnership management and established business/community/governmental/non-governmental networks that provide critical marketplace and key influential access, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Councils.

  • Demonstrated change management capability and ability to operationalize strategic initiatives with very strong project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization through collaboration, consulting and building relationships with leaders.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, focused on influencing audiences from senior management to front line colleagues (e.g., development of executive presentations, newsletters, articles, social media postings, etc).

  • Presentation and metrics reporting skills, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to create and develop strategic PowerPoint presentations as needed.

  • Experience working with and managing relationships with external organizations, partners and key stakeholders.

  • Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment and integrate multi-disciplinary strategies to drive the division’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) roadmap.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Global business acumen: Strong global business acumen, global experience, and clearly understands the critical connection to the external marketplace, the impact to both the current and future business model and the strategic role of Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GD&I) in driving the ROI of the organization.

  • Strategic relationship management: Identifies, partners, and leverages relationships with key external organizations/ key influential leaders to drive business results while simultaneously enhancing the organization's reputation in the area of corporate social responsibility.

  • Human Resource knowledge: Working expert in the areas of talent management, succession planning,

  • compliance and workforce planning sufficient to identify key points of integration for the Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GD&I) strategy.

  • Communications and reputation management: Positively influences internal employee audiences around the

  • Global Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence (GD&I) business case and initiatives and has demonstrated expertise in the external strategic management of

  • diversity/mainstream media and trusted national publications.

  • Influence: Ability to tailor an influencing approach to individual stakeholders

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
