Position Description:

R290679 HVAC Mechanic (Open)

Experienced HVAC technician with working knowledge of mechanical operations and able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • 24-hour monitoring building management system

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air-conditioning systems and equipment

  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment

  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems

  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems and performing warranty services

  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training

  • Keeping daily logs and records all maintenance functions

  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with OSHA

  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements

  • Assisting with customer inquiries

  • Supports a Target Zero Safety culture

  • Utilizes electronic technologies; electronic work order systems, e-training, and email

Position Qualifications :

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent, HVAC license or technician certification

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 4 years apprenticeship or 8 years of experience as an industrial HVAC mechanic with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team is a must.

  • Applicants must be familiar with all phases of industrial maintenance including:

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle, and overhaul equipment using hand and power tools.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems

  • Knowledge of building management systems

  • Knowledge of electrical circuits & wiring and operating principles of motors

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • HVAC shop and machine tool operation experience.

  • Desire to learn and support in a dynamic, growth environment.

  • Familiarity with Building Automation Control Systems and Computerized Management Maintenance Systems.

  • Familiarity with cGMP for pharmaceutical manufacturing desired.
