We are looking for an energetic, self-starter to join our Enterprise Information Technology team to help us identify and deliver business solutions, in partnership with Global Workplace and Enterprise Services and Information Technology colleagues. These critical functions operate at a global scale, supporting our business in over 130 countries.

The Technical Lead role will provide solution architecture and technical leadership for a team of developers to deliver solutions across the Facilities Management Product Line. In this role you will be involved with developing new solutions or enhancing existing solutions in the Integrated Facilities Management, Building and Package Management, Real Estate Management, Smart Buildings and Facilities Data & Analytics products.

As a leader within the IT group, you will:

  • Build key relationships with Facilities Management leadership and IT colleagues to lead the delivery of our business solutions.

  • Gain a deep understanding of the business processes, systems, and data that support strategic processes and programs related to our Facilities Management product line.

  • Guide a high-performing team of software engineers to deliver robust technology solutions.

  • Share knowledge and mentor others in areas of technical expertise.

  • Acquire knowledge and be mentored in areas of growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Technical Lead, assess the current state solutions and develop a roadmap to deliver greater business value and maintain a secure and modern technology landscape.

  • Lead a team of developers to manage the application stack and ensure delivery on project backlog.

  • Develop expertise in Integrated Facilities Management, Building and Package Management, Real Estate Management, Smart Buildings and Facilities Data & Analytics products, and the core business processes supported.

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of modern development practices and technology stack on the cloud.

  • Partner with other partner IT organizations to ensure alignment with Platform teams, IT architecture, IT Risk management, support organizations in delivering projects.

  • Contribute as a senior developer on critical initiatives, share best practices, technical expertise and collaborate and earn the trust and respect of the product team.

  • Demonstrate ability to focus on key priorities and lead and collaborate effectively to deliver on IT commitments.

  • Accountable to ensure that product solutions incorporate an approach that start with experimentation to validate expected impact, includes human centered design, follows agile principles, incorporates external insights, required end to end process optimizations, and compliance engagement.

  • Partner with teams for requirements collection, impact analysis, portfolio prioritization, engineer technical change management approvals and report out to business partners.

  • Partner with external organizations and vendors to influence the direction of the improvements and functionality.

  • Partner with product line leads and product managers to develop long term holistic product roadmaps with multi-technology integrated landscape towards cohesive user experience.

  • Coordinate operational and project timelines, issue and risks based on the global program critical initiatives and goals.

  • Collaborate and implement standards covering agile project methodologies.

  • Partner with Product Managers to provide clarity on the business and technical requirements to drive the appropriate user stories and sprint planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2+ years of demonstrated technical leadership experience using Agile methodologies

  • Hands-on configuration, coding and software design experience building robust and scalable software using AWS technology stack, Python, Spotfire/Qlik/PowerBI, Relational databases (RDBMS), Data Warehouses, SQL, XML, YAML, Java, scripting, and message -based technologies.

  • Strong experience in Data engineering on the cloud with knowledge of AWS cloud components such as S3, Athena, RDS, Glue, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Lambda, Cloudwatch

  • Exposure to data engineering and visualization components such as Alteryx, Dataiku, Power BI etc.

  • Exposure to Git version control best practices and working in a collaborative development environment

  • Experience working in a System Development Life Cycle, including creating technical documentation and functional testing, which includes Unit and Integration, and deployment

  • Experience on documenting functional and technical specifications.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Certifications preferred.

  • Proficient level of experience and knowledge of Integrated Facilities Management, Building and Package Management, Real Estate Management, Smart Buildings and Facilities Data & Analytics applications.

  • Experience building and consuming web-based APIs and knowledge of AI technologies.

  • Experience managing a globally distributed implementation squad.

  • Mobile application experience/exposure preferred.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:

$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
