Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research, Supply Chain, Marketing organizations as well as Enabling Functions.

The SAP Platform Team is part of our EIT organization and owns our SAP Global Template asset which enables enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.

This Sr. Specialist role will report into our Role Management & Training (RM&T) function which is part of the SAP Platform Team’s Planning & Execution (P&E) group. This function works to manage processes and tools for management / execution of activities related to system access and end user training.

In this Sr. Specialist role, incumbent will be responsible for:

Technology & Tools: Various technologies which Role Management & Training team uses regularly to meet its core objectives:

  • Ownership of TRACE (Tools, Roles, Access, Communications) tool which is the system of record for the COMET global role design documentation and training curriculum. Responsibilities will include overall accountability for tool data, maintenance of training curriculum, and managing relationship with 3rd party developer of tool (Syniti)

  • Developing expertise and serving as RM&T team’s point of contact for other various enterprise learning & human capital management technologies which integrate with TRACE and are leveraged by team (e.g. Success Factors, ESA, Workday)

  • Maintaining the Comet Curriculum in Success Factors and posting of training simulations in Content Central.

  • Managing COMET training specific team sites and shared drives (e.g. Instructor CoP team site, Training Working Documents shared site, etc.)

  • Managing key activities associated with SAP Learning Hub including:

  • Accountability for managing Learning Hub access process / requests

  • Development of monthly usage reporting for SAP Platform leaders

  • Identifying opportunities to incorporate usage into overall SAP Platform Learning Strategies

SAP Deployment & Sustainment: Execution of system access and EUT activities managed at a global level to support projects on the COMET road map, as well as for key sustainment efforts. These activities may include but not be limited to:

  • Deployments / Projects:

  • Manage centralized TRACE activities associated with role mapping and related change control

  • Support project leadership in definition of calendar development strategy

  • Execute key tasks associated with training calendar build & management

  • Run key data reports in TRACE to support execution (e.g. training completion reports, curriculum reports, etc.)

  • Manage centralized role provisioning activities to finalize role assignments in production systems.

  • Sustainment:

  • Manage cadence of standard role & training related reports for Sustainment Network

  • Support ad hoc role & training requests from user community (e.g. creation of mass-provisioning files and training completion reports)

  • Support role & training efforts associated with production support.

Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analytics: Required to support SAP Platform team with analytics and decision support analysis on a wide-range of topics related to SAP user training and system role access.

Training Management Support: Participating in efforts to manage and maintain SAP Platform Role Management and Training processes.

  • Support RM&T team leadership with evolution and maintenance of End User Training (EUT) related processes and supporting technologies.

  • Support efforts to evolve EUT strategy and approach as part of transformative journey to adopt a product model mindset and begin our S/4 journey (e.g. internal SAP Platform team training on new ways of working, S/4 solution and transition to Jira tool for demand management)

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Change Management & Training experience associated with technology enabled change projects or programs.

  • Experience with SAP role design, training, and managing system access is required.

  • Personal accountability, teaming, and organizational skills to drive and track success.

  • Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization, participating in cross-divisional projects and building peer relationships.

  • Intermediate to Expert level knowledge of data/analytic tools commonly available at our Company (Excel, relational database management, PowerBI)

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Aptitude and interest for learning new technology is a must.

  • Aptitude for ‘translating’ business needs into relevant technical strategies and solutions

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, Demand Management Tools (Jira, Demand Tracker) and collaboration tools (Confluence, Mural, MS Teams) is preferred.

  • Familiarity with or practice in writing and running simple to intermediate SQL queries (SQL Server Management Studio) is highly desirable.

  • Beginner to intermediate experience managing through small-to-medium projects (developing plans, identifying resource requirements, tracking progress, etc.)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:

$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
